AVCON Sponsors VChina to Develop Distance Classroom
By entering a new digital era, information technology gradually changes our educational models. IT education leads students from one-way learning environment into an interactive sphere of knowledge sharing. Teachers and students can now meet many learning partners through internet, to study and share the global issues with each other, and experience global education. |
In order to meet the new challenge of educational reform, Chinese University of Hong Kong and St. Bonaventure College & High School have implemented “VChina” cross cultural program since 2004. Under the AVCON video conferencing system which is sponsored by our company, they created distance classroom to facilitate cultural exchange activities. With this learning platform, the video image of teachers/students in local schools can be instantly displayed to foreign schools, and they can even make use of the whiteboard to highlight the specific points so as to optimize the distance classroom. |
They seem to visit to different countries to learn the regional culture even if they stay at home. By using this virtual platform, they need not to waste many resources to gather the learning partners but emphasize on the discussion topics. It significantly improves the efficiency of learning & teaching. |
For this few years, nearly hundreds of Chinese and local schools are connected under the program of VChina to join the educational activities, such as real time debate, language learning and teacher meeting etc. Distant classroom greatly widen their horizons, improve educational materials from various regions and bring significant contributions to the education field. |
